In February 2020 Turki Matooq Al-Thonayan has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the National Security Services Company "SAFE", which is owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). Turki has more than 25 years of extensive security experience started from 1996 with Saudi Aramco until he became the Manager of Northern Area Industrial Security Operations in 2018. Later, Turki held of the listed
company "BATIC" for Investment and Logistics then he held CEO position of "AMNCO" and appointed as a Board of Directors member of "AMNCO-FM" for Facility Management.

Turki’s security experience is diversified in corporate security services, computer security administration, residential area security operations, industrial and maritime infrastructure facilities protection, security support system and identification systems.

Educationally, Al Thonayan holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in information & Computer Science both degrees are from KFUPM. He is certified as Port Security Officer, Information Systems Risk Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Fraud Examiner, Hacking Forensic Investigator and SAP Consultant in addition to his membership in many international organizations related to security fields.
