Salah graduated as Marine Engineer, then started his maritime career as Engineer cadet in 1990, promoted as Engineer officer on board commercial ships where he spent 10 years.
He then joined the classification society Bureau Veritas as Marine Surveyor before moving to Halliburton Energy Services a leader in the Energy Field as Employees Development Manager.
In the early twenties he was called to support a local Maritime Bunkering Company
as Chief Engineer and Class department head helping the company to save more than 90 million USD in repairs and docks surveys.
In 2004 he moved from Canada to Dubai / Qatar to share his expertise with Maritime administrations and started his first works on ISPS code after its entry into force in July 2004. Under his leadership the 1st audits on Qatar port facilities were carried out to check compliance with ISPS requirements.
In 2007 he was back to Dubai to join a reputed Classification society Lloyd’s Register as Marine Manager, Safety /Security Auditor, Consultant, and trainer.
Over last 15 years Salah was heavily involved in the development and training of maritime companies, maritime administrations, security authorities and terminals, up today he is leading many projects on maritime security in the GCC areas.
