Maj. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, one of the most important security departments in the Emirate and a member of the Board of Directors of the International City for Humanitarian Services. He joined the General Directorate of Dubai Police in 1980. He holds a Diploma in Police Sciences, Business, as well as being a fingerprint expert.

Several committees, including the Dubai Community Development Committee, the Standing Committee for Workers Affairs, the Governance Council at the Ministry of the Interior, the Coordinating Committee for Residency in the Ministry of the Interior.
His career has witnessed a number of achievements. He is the first to adopt the “Reda Al Nas” brand in the field of government service work, and launched a package that has proven successful in the Emirate of Dubai, winning several areas in the Dubai Government Excellence Program, A government-funded financial institution, the American Ideas Award.

For the time being Dr. Nouh is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Bayt University – Jordan

    Moh’d Khalil joined Alba in 1997 as a Security Officer in the SHE department following which he was promoted to supervisory levels such as Security Supervisor (2002), Fire Superintendent (2007), SHE Superintendent (2011) and Marine Operation Superintendent (2014). In 2016, Moh’d was promoted to SHE Manager then to Senior SHE Manager in 2017. In May 2018 he was appointed as Director of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE).

    Robert Carotenuto, CPP, PCI, PSP, the Associate Vice President for Security at The New York
    Botanical Garden, has over 20 years of experience protecting cultural properties. Before joining
    the NYBG as Director of Security in 2010, he served as Associate Security Manager for Physical
    Security and Emergency Management at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he had been a
    member of the security team since 1994. He is past Chair of the ASIS International Cultural
    Properties Council, ASIS 2016 Council Chairman of the Year, current member of the ASIS
    Standards and Guidelines Commission, and past Chair and present Vice Chair of the American
    Alliance of Museums’ Security Committee. He has spoken globally on cultural property
    emergency management, risk assessment, and risk mitigation. In 2017, he spearheaded an ASIS
    Foundation CRISP Report on security guidelines for the Clunia archaeological site in Huerta de
    Rey, Spain. He holds an MS in CIS from Baruch College and an MS in Protection Management
    from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of
    Security, Fire, and Emergency Management.

        Declan Garrett is a Doctor of Security Risk Management and a Chartered Security Professional. Dr. Garrett Heads the Security Unit of the Louvre Abu Dhabi and was previously the Security and Safety Manager of Irelands National Gallery. He is a member of the ASIS International Cultural Properties Council and Chairs their Museum Committee. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management and a member of their Global Advisory Council and is Director of Academic Research at the Security Institute of Ireland. Dr. Garrett is a thought leader on Private Security Career Paths and Heads the Young Professionals Academic Advisory Board of the ASIS Irish Chapter. He also sat on the Irish private security regulators training advisory board. Dr. Garrett has contributed to European research project teams that developed common EU competences and de-radicalization training for the private security sector. Dr. Garrett is a Visiting Lecturer to the Berlin Institute of Economics and Law where he lecturers on the MA in International Security Management. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Security Risk Management and has spoken at seminars on topics including Museum Security, Counter Terrorism and Training and Education.

        Hussain Alhazmi is a lead project engineer specialized in AI & Robotics, and an SME for Digital Transformation Program at Saudi Aramco S&IS organization. Hussain is holding a master’s degree in Computer Engineering, with a specialty in Autonomous Robotics, and Software Design for Embedded & Information System from Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. As part of his professional achievement in the field of AI & Robotics, Mr. Hussain earned the Second Prize for Graduate Student Paper Award in the ASEE Zone 1 Conference IEEE 2014, for a project titled “Mobile Robots Exploration and Mapping in 2D”. Lately, he received a patent granted by the USPTO for an idea titled “Intelligent Embedded System Device for Monitoring Car Wheel Performance” US9387734B1. Hussain is a member of Saudi Aramco Innovation& Ecosystem Society (IES), and as part of his social contributions he was involved as a mentor and advisor in Wa’ed Hackathon 2018, and now he is a lead member of the “Humanoid Robotic” Project.

        Born in 7thAugust 1964. Jassim is a Mechanical Engineer with B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida (Gainesville-Florida) class of 1989 and M.Sc. degree in Project Management (Oil & Gas) from University of Liverpool – UK.

        He established his work career in 11th August 1990 with Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (GPIC). Having undergone extensive training and development both in Bahrain as well as overseas, he held a number of senior positions in GPIC including Mechanical Supervisor, Turnarounds Area Leader and then promoted to Mechanical Superintendent in Maintenance Department. In 2010, he was promoted to Safety, Security, Health & Environment Manager.

        Mr. Darwish, was involved in the Urea Project from 1996 to 1998. He was full-time involved in the project during the Engineering, Construction and Commissioning stages. He was also selected as one of the core team members in the Carbon Dioxide Recovery Plant Project (CDR) in 2008/9.

        He is a member on Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) in Responsible Care Committee and Advocacy Committee; Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) in HSE Committee; National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International) and Chairman of ASIS Bahrain Chapter; OSAC, IOSH and member in National Safety Council (NSC) in Delegates Board Member, Partnership Committee member in the United States. Member in Society of Engineer (Bahrain)

        He has been selected as a judge for Robert W. Campbell Award (USA), AFA HSE Award, and Green Leave Award.

        Mr. Darwish was also undergone an extensive program with the University of Virginia-Graduate School of Business Administration in 2004.

        Claude holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Notre Dame University and a Masters of Engineering and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia Canada. He conducts training and education, consultancy and operations in the cybersecurity and intelligence areas. With more than 15 years of experience in both industry and academia, he has worked on several large-scale projects for various federal agencies. For instance, in 2013, he was involved in the investigation of the world largest DDoS DNS Amplification cyber attack. In addition, Claude holds a certificate in university teaching. In 2013, he was awarded the prestigious FRQNT Quebec Government scholarship and received the Best Paper Award at the 12th IEEE International Symposium on Network Computing and Applications, Cambridge, MA USA. He has published several research papers and two book chapters in the field of security and cyber terrorism. He makes a strong effort to meet new people and surround himself with industry and academic pioneers. He seeks solutions and takes actions through his affiliations, leadership and communication skills. He is currently working in the field of cybersecurity, Internet of Things, SCADA, Big Data, machine learning, and intelligence gathering. He is current chair of The Security Institute Middle East Members Group (MEMG) as well as a Fellow of the Security Institute. His current professional memberships include ASIS International, The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), The Association of Security Consultants (ASC) and the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC).

          Simon’s career in security started in 1985, as a security surveyor with Honeywell, before progressing to senior management positions with security systems integrators. In 2003, Simon became an independent security consultant, forming SGW, which has grown from grassroots as a home-based business, to a now internationally acclaimed and highly respected international consulting practice. In 2010, Simon expanded from his UK origins to establish a strong footprint in the GCC region of the Middle East and is now a Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) licensed Security Consultant, (‘formally Dubai Police, Department of Protective Systems’).

          Simon is also listed in the Red Book as a SABRE Registered Assessor and SABRE Registered Professional in the area of ‘Security Strategy’, ‘Security Design & Engineering’ and ‘Operational Security’. Simon’s SABRE license number is SLC-004-001, and he is licensed by BRE to display the SABRE Badge of Recognition accordingly.

          During his 35-year career, Simon has led consulting teams in the delivery and management of iconic CCTV and Security projects in many varied vertical market sectors across the world. In July 2019, Simon was recognized by The Security Institute by being announced as the winner of International Achiever of the Year Award, for his voluntary contribution to the wider international security community.
